The Position
Role: ED SMO
Location: Blue Mountains Hospital, NSW
Rates: $250 – $300 per hour (depending on shift)
Start: December 2025
Duration: Ongoing shifts through January 2026
Shift Times Include:
0800–1630 | 1100–2100 | 1400–2400 | 2000–0600 | 2230–0830
Typical Staffing:
Day shifts: FACEM + experienced nursing team
Night shifts: ED Registrar in charge + experienced nursing team
Shift Structure:
Three doctors on overnight cover
Clear senior leadership and defined roles
Strong nursing presence across all shifts
