Prescript Recruitment is partnering with a new Australia-wide telehealth clinic seeking an experienced doctor to join its service at an early stage of growth.
This is a genuine part-time opportunity offering a guaranteed hourly rate, an established patient referral pathway and the potential to increase your sessions as demand grows.
The Opportunity
You will initially work two weekday telehealth sessions per week, with each session running for approximately four to five hours.
Morning and afternoon sessions are available, with the potential for additional weekday and weekend sessions as the clinic grows.
The clinic has an initial group of patients ready to commence and an established referral pathway expected to generate significant ongoing demand.
You can choose to focus purely on consultations or, if it interests you, contribute to the development of the clinic’s clinical processes and future model of care.
What’s On Offer
$180–$250+ per hour, depending on experience
Higher rates considered for experienced Authorised Prescribers
Guaranteed hourly payment, rather than payment per patient
Two sessions per week initially
Four to five-hour weekday sessions
Fully remote work from anywhere in Australia
Nursing, administrative and patient coordination support

How the Service Works
Patients will be screened by a nurse before being booked with the doctor.
The nursing team will also provide administrative support, patient follow-up and ongoing coordination, allowing you to focus on clinical consultations and prescribing.
The expected patient journey includes:
Nurse-led suitability screening
Telehealth consultation with the doctor
Electronic prescribing where clinically appropriate
Medication delivery coordination
Nursing follow-up and ongoing patient support
Prescribing protocols and clinical note templates will be provided.
Who Can Apply?
To be considered, you must have:
Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA
Current Australian work rights
Previous medicinal cannabis prescribing experience
Strong, recent and demonstrable SAS-B experience
Doctors with current Authorised Prescriber status are highly regarded and may attract a higher hourly rate.
You should also be confident assessing patient suitability, prescribing independently within your scope of practice and providing consultations through telehealth.
This role is not suitable for doctors who are new to medicinal cannabis prescribing.
