The Hospital & Emergency Department
Esperance Health Campus is a regional hospital providing essential emergency and inpatient care to the surrounding community. The Emergency Department manages a varied rural case mix, supported by experienced nursing staff and clear escalation pathways.
Doctors describe the ED as busy but well-run, with good teamwork, clear rosters, and a practical approach to rural medicine. There is also a ward-only role available in March, ideal for doctors preferring inpatient-focused work.
The Role
Position: Rural Generalist or ED SMO
Scope: Emergency Department with ward exposure
Roster: Mix of day, afternoon, evening and night shifts
Rates:
GP: $260–$285 per hour
SMO / Rural Generalist: $230–$260 per hour

1–8 Feb | Day & evening
9–15 Feb | Evening & night
16–22 Feb | Day & evening
23 Feb – 1 Mar | Afternoon & evening

Ward Doctor: 9–15 Mar (10-hour shifts, wards + ED)

1–30 Apr | Ongoing shifts available
