This is a rare chance to step into a senior leadership position where your influence will directly shape the future of healthcare across Tasmania’s North West.
As Executive Director of Medical Services (EDMS), you will play a pivotal role within the Tasmanian Health Service’s executive team—providing strategic medical leadership, guiding clinical governance frameworks, and driving excellence across two major hospitals and a network of regional facilities.
Based in Burnie and Latrobe, you’ll lead medical and clinical teams through a period of positive transformation, helping to embed strong governance, safety, and quality systems that support both clinicians and patients. Working alongside other senior executives, your remit will extend from workforce strategy and credentialing to service innovation and policy development.
This appointment is ideal for a seasoned medical leader who values both professional impact and personal balance. The region offers a relaxed coastal lifestyle, affordable living, and easy access to Tasmania’s wilderness—all within a connected, forward-looking healthcare community.

The position offers an executive package reflective of its seniority:
