Prescript is partnering with Launceston General Hospital in northern Tasmania to recruit a Deputy Executive Director of Medical Services (EDMS) on a fixed-term basis.
As the major referral hospital for Tasmania’s North and North-West, Launceston General Hospital is a dynamic and collaborative healthcare environment with 450 beds and more than 2,300 staff delivering high-quality care to a large regional population.
Working closely with the hospital’s executive team, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to medical leadership, service development and clinical governance while supporting a culture of excellence in patient care.

The Role
We are seeking a Deputy EDMS to join Launceston General Hospital.
This leadership role provides the opportunity to support clinical governance, medical workforce development and service improvement across one of Tasmania’s most significant regional hospitals.
In this position, you can expect to:
Provide high-quality, evidence-based patient care
Contribute to the strategic leadership of medical services
Support a culture of clinical excellence, teamwork and professional development
Participate in teaching, research and clinical education
Work within a system guided by the Studer Program principles, emphasising employee engagement and organisational excellence
The role does have on-call responsibilities, with an initial two-year appointment commencing as soon as possible.
Benefits
Salary range: $216,300 – $310,389 per annum (pro rata)
Plus 12% superannuation
