Step into a senior medical leadership role in Launceston

Prescript Recruitment is seeking an experienced Deputy Executive Director Medical Services for an urgent locum placement at Launceston General Hospital.

This is a short-term executive opportunity for a DMS, Deputy DMS or senior medical administrator who can provide experienced leadership and support within a major regional teaching hospital.

You will work alongside the Executive Director Medical Services and broader executive team, helping maintain strong medical leadership, governance and continuity across the service.

Locum details

  • Dates: 21 September – 1 November 2026

  • Rate: $2,500 per day

  • On call: $140 allowance

  • Roster: Day work plus 1:2 on call, shared with the EDMS

  • Call-back: $250 per hour for each hour worked while on call, up to a maximum of $2,500 per day
