Prescript is seeking an experienced senior medical leader for an urgent DMS locum at Launceston General Hospital, one of Tasmania’s leading regional referral hospitals.

This Deputy Executive Director of Medical Services position offers $2,500 per day + GST, with a $140 daily on-call allowance (shared on a 1:2 roster with the EDMS). The assignment runs across two short-term periods — 13–19 October 2025 and 27 October–9 November 2025 — providing a flexible opportunity for an experienced DMS to step in and make an immediate impact.

You’ll be supporting the Executive Director of Medical Services, working closely with hospital executives and clinical teams to uphold high standards of patient safety, governance, and care delivery. This is an ideal locum for leaders who thrive on collaboration and want to contribute meaningfully during a period of transition or high service demand.
