The Position
You will join a team of three Rural Generalists who work across both general practice and emergency care. The role requires confidence, autonomy, and adaptability — and you will be well-supported by experienced nursing staff and access to remote retrieval services.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Running general practice clinics, including both appointments and walk-in presentations.
Managing emergency cases, including trauma and acute presentations.
Coordinating stabilisation and retrievals in collaboration with RFDS and other support services.
Providing continuity of care for chronic disease and community health.
Participating in a 1-in-3 on-call roster shared across the medical team.

Benefits Provided
You will be paid $1,800 per day for the duration of your placement.
All return flights and on-island transfers will be arranged and covered on your behalf. You will be provided with comfortable, fully furnished accommodation within close proximity to the facility.
A travel allowance may also be available depending on the length and structure of your contract. You will be met on arrival and fully supported by both the on-island team and your dedicated Prescript Recruitment partner throughout the process.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this position, you must hold current AHPRA registration (General or Specialist) and have an up-to-date ALS2 (or equivalent) certification.
We are seeking doctors who are confident working independently across both GP and emergency medicine, and who are comfortable taking on the challenges and rewards of remote work. Prior rural or remote experience is highly valued, but not essential if you bring the right skills and mindset.
