A short GP Anaesthetist locum is available on Tasmania’s North West Coast from Monday 19 October to Friday 23 October 2026.
You will be rostered primarily to endoscopy and scopes lists across two hospital sites in Burnie and Latrobe, depending on the roster.

Hours: 0800 Monday to 1700 Friday
Rate: $3,000 per day, inclusive of on-call

The position is spread across two of North West Tasmania’s key hospital services, giving you the opportunity to work across a broader regional network during the week.
About the location
North West Tasmania is one of those regions that works particularly well for a locum.
Burnie is a coastal city with beaches, cafes and easy access to the wider North West Coast, while Latrobe sits closer to Devonport and the Mersey River.
If you have some time around the placement, the region gives you access to some of Tasmania’s best-known scenery, food and produce, including Cradle Mountain and the surrounding wilderness.
