Katherine Hospital is seeking an experienced FACEM or FACRRM to take on a high-paying, well-supported locum without the burden of overnight or on-call shifts.
The Position
As Emergency Medical Coordinator, you’ll oversee a busy regional ED that handles around 25,000 presentations annually, including a high proportion of paediatric and Aboriginal health cases. This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll provide clinical guidance to the ED team, support junior staff, and manage a wide range of cases - including trauma, neonatal, and medical emergencies. You’ll also work alongside a committed and collaborative nursing team, with access to telehealth and retrieval support from Royal Darwin Hospital.

A FACEM with experience leading regional or rural ED teams
A Rural Generalist with advanced emergency credentials (ACEM Certificate or Diploma welcome)
