Location: Albury, New South Wales
Facility: Established Medicare Urgent Care Clinic

Opportunities: Casual locum shifts, regular sessions and potential permanent employment
Current shifts: Approximately 8 hours
2027: Planned expansion to 12-hour shifts
On-call: None
Overnight shifts: None
Payment: Direct invoicing under your ABN
The clinic is GP-led, with experienced nursing and administrative staff and a collaborative approach to patient care.
Excellent Hourly Rates
Monday–Friday: $250 per hour
Saturday: $275 per hour
Sunday: $300 per hour

The Clinical Environment
This is an opportunity to practise interesting, hands-on medicine in a supportive urgent care setting.

Pre-screened presentations: Patients are assessed for suitability before entering the clinical consultation.
Experienced clinical support: An established nursing and administration team with emergency department and general practice backgrounds.
Varied urgent care presentations: Including minor injuries, acute illnesses, wound management and other appropriate urgent care conditions.
Established referral pathways: Access to expedited imaging and hospital ED escalation when required.
Clear prescribing policies: A no-opioid-prescribing policy.
Clinical guidance: Support available throughout shifts when needed.
The emphasis is on delivering quality urgent care in a well-supported clinical environment.

What We Require From You
Current AHPRA specialist registration.
GP (FRACGP or FACRRM).
Confidence managing appropriate urgent care presentations.
Competency in suturing, plastering and ECG interpretation.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Relevant credentialing and ability to invoice under an ABN for locum engagements.
Previous urgent care experience is advantageous, but we encourage suitably skilled VR GPs from general practice or emergency medicine backgrounds to enquire.
