Prescript Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Rural Generalist for locum blocks at Mornington Island Hospital in Queensland.
This is a rewarding remote medicine opportunity in one of Queensland’s most unique coastal communities, working within a supportive rural health team and delivering high-impact care in a remote Aboriginal community setting.
The Role
You will be working as a Rural Generalist, providing a broad mix of primary care and emergency medicine services.
The role is well suited to doctors with strong rural, remote, emergency, obstetric or anaesthetics experience, including Rural Generalists with an AST in Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics or Anaesthetics.
You will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary rural health team, with the opportunity to apply and further develop your rural generalist skill set in a meaningful and varied clinical environment.

Mornington Island is a remote island community in the Gulf of Carpentaria, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to healthcare delivery in a culturally significant and clinically rewarding setting.

Rates
Up to $2,700 per day
For FRACGP-RG / FACRRM doctors with AST
$2,500 per day
For FRACGP doctors

Requirements
To be considered, you will need:
FRACGP, FRACGP-RG or FACRRM
Specialist AHPRA registration
Experience in rural, remote or emergency medicine
AST in Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics or Anaesthetics highly regarded
Ability to work confidently in a remote clinical environment
Queensland Health credentialing, or willingness to complete credentialing
