Urgent Care GP Shifts - Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (Adelaide | Jan 2026 onwards)

Location: Adelaide SA (approx. 20 mins from CBD)

Rate: Up to $220 per hour

If you’re a VR GP who enjoys acute presentations, good structure, and strong support, this is a standout urgent care option close to the city. This Medicare Urgent Care Clinic provides walk-in care for urgent, non-life-threatening illness and injury - no appointment required.

You’ll work in a modern, team-based environment alongside experienced nursing staff, with clear escalation pathways to hospital services when needed. The clinic is set up for safe, efficient urgent care, with on-site pathology, pharmacy and radiology.

The Position

  • Role: GP – Urgent Care (Medicare Urgent Care Clinic)

  • Hours: Weekdays 8am–8pm | Weekends & Public Holidays 10am–6pm

  • Walk-in urgent care for acute issues that can’t wait for a routine GP appointment, but don’t require ED-level management

  • Urgent care is bulk billed for valid Medicare card holders

Typical presentations
You’ll manage a broad range of urgent but non-life-threatening presentations, including:

  • Minor infections

  • Minor fractures, sprains, sports injuries, and neck/back pain

  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

  • Sexually transmitted infections (STIs)

  • Minor cuts and wounds

  • Minor eye and ear conditions

  • Respiratory illnesses

  • Gastroenteritis

  • Mild burns

Shifts available (January 2026)

  • Saturday 17 Jan — 10:00–18:00

  • Sunday 18 Jan — 10:00–18:00

  • Saturday 24 Jan — 10:00–18:00

  • Sunday 25 Jan — 10:00–18:00

  • Monday 26 Jan (Public Holiday) — 08:00–18:00

  • Tuesday 27 Jan — 08:00–20:00

  • Wednesday 28 Jan — 08:00–20:00

  • Thursday 29 Jan — 08:00–20:00

  • Friday 30 Jan — 08:00–20:00

What we’re looking for

  • Unrestricted GP

  • Current AHPRA specialist registration

  • Current ALS certification

  • Confident with suturing and plastering
