The Position
As a GP working in urgent care, you’ll provide assessment, treatment, and safe discharge for both adult and paediatric patients presenting with acute illness or injury. You’ll work in a structured environment with clear clinical governance, supported by experienced Division 1 Registered Nurses and strong escalation pathways to local Emergency Departments.

AM: 8:00am – 3:15pm
PM: 3:00pm – 10:00pm
Rates
Weekdays: $202.72 per hour
Weekends: $253.39 per hour
Service Overview
This Urgent Care Clinic is designed to relieve pressure on local Emergency Departments while delivering accessible, community-based care. The clinic is fully equipped and focused on safe, efficient patient flow, continuity of care, and strong collaboration with local health services.
You’ll be supported to:
Assess and manage acute presentations confidently
Escalate appropriately to ED when required
Provide clear communication back to the patient’s regular GP
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive face-to-face clinical assessments (including ECGs)
Manage acute injuries and illnesses across adult and paediatric patients
Take detailed clinical histories and document accurately in medical software
Perform suturing and plastering as required
Provide written discharge summaries and GP referrals within 48 hours
Liaise with local Emergency Departments for escalation when clinically indicated
Educate patients on follow-up care and warning signs

Unrestricted VR GP
Current AHPRA registration
