If you’re a GP with Emergency Medicine skills, this is a standout Urgent Care opportunity on the Sunshine Coast. These highly paid, contained evening shifts sit within a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) co-located with a large, well-resourced medical centre - offering excellent systems, strong nursing support, and predictable hours.

Important note: Although this role is based within a Medicare Urgent Care Centre, it is suited to Rural Generalists or GPs with Emergency Medicine capability. ALS2 certification and ED experience are mandatory, which is reflected in the premium rate on offer

The Role

  • Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 February 2026

  • Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 February 2026

  • Saturday 21 February 2026

Shift hours: 14:30 – 22:30

You’ll be working evening shifts in a busy Medicare UCC, managing urgent but non-life-threatening presentations (minor injuries, wounds, infections, sprains) within a clearly structured, well-supported clinical environment.

Setting: Government-funded Medicare UCC, co-located with an established medical centre
Support: Nursing, triage pathways, and strong operational systems

Eligibility

This role is ideal for GPs with ED capability.

You’ll need:

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • ALS2 (mandatory)

  • Ability to manage urgent presentations independently

  • Willingness to complete credentialing promptly
