Ongoing Shifts from November 2025

Multiple correctional health sites across Victoria

$180–$210 per hour

You’ll be responsible for providing and overseeing medical care for people in custody, including reception health assessments, chronic disease management, and acute presentations.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll deliver high-quality primary and acute care in a secure, well-supported environment that prioritises patient wellbeing and clinical safety.

About the Health Service

You’ll be working with one of Victoria’s leading correctional healthcare providers, responsible for delivering comprehensive medical services across the state’s prison network. This organisation partners closely with the Department of Justice to ensure every person in custody has access to ethical, evidence-based, and person-centred care.

Their model is built around continuity, prevention, and rehabilitation, providing comprehensive programs in general practice, chronic disease management, mental health, and health education within secure environments.

The service is highly structured, supported by experienced nurses and allied health professionals, and underpinned by strong governance and clinical safety standards.

Where You’ll Work

Facilities are located across both metropolitan and regional Victoria, giving you flexibility to choose the sites and schedules that suit you best.

Options include Melbourne-based centres such as Ravenhall, West Melbourne, and Lara, as well as regional hubs like Castlemaine and Ararat.
