We have multiple locum opportunities for Rural Generalists with FRACGP/FACCRM and ED experience. Each role is unique, offering a mix of ED, GP services, inpatient care, and more. Specific skills in Obstetrics or Anaesthetics are highly desirable for certain placements.

TULLY HOSPITAL

Tully is a small town located in the Cassowary Coast region, roughly 140km south of Cairns. Tully Hospital is a level 2 rural hospital and the workload includes ED, GP services and inpatient care.

Babinda is a small sugar town located 60 km south of Cairns. Babinda Hospital consists of an ED, 11 Aged Care beds, 10 Acute beds and 4 clinic rooms. Placements in Babinda would cover all of these areas.

MAREEBA HOSPITAL

Mareeba is located on the Atherton Tablelands, 65km west of Cairns. Mareeba Hospital is a 40 bed level 3 general hospital servicing some 20,000 residents and visitors to the district, including a large Indigenous population

INNISFAIL HOSPITAL

Innisfail is a regional town located 90km south of Cairns. The hospital is a 49 bed level 3 general hospital , servicing some 35,000 residents and visitors to the Innisfail district, including a significant Indigenous population.

ATHERTON HOSPITAL

Atherton is a town on the Atherton Tablelands approx. 1 hr 20 min drive from Cairns with a population of approximately 7300 people. It is popular for its gourmet food and wine trails, bird watching, unique wildlife, rainforest and waterfall walks. Atherton has a brand ED building and sees up to 70 patients per day.
