Prescript Recruitment is seeking a FRANZCR Radiologist for a locum opportunity at Mildura Base Public Hospital in north-west Victoria.
You will be working with a major national medical imaging provider supporting a busy hospital-based service with diagnostic imaging, procedural work and regional referrals.
This role is well suited to a radiologist who is confident with Tier A intervention, enjoys being on site with clinicians and wants a premium locum with sensible travel, accommodation and roster options.

Role: Locum Radiologist
Rate: $4,000 per day, negotiable
Dates: Weeks available through June, July and August
Roster: Full week blocks or 3 days per week
FIFO: Considered for 3 consecutive days per week
Travel: Flights provided
Accommodation: Self-contained accommodation provided
Car hire: Provided

Options include:

3 consecutive days per week FIFO
Days may be flexible, making this a practical option for Melbourne-based radiologists or interstate doctors connecting through Melbourne.
The Role
You will support a hospital imaging service with a strong procedural component.
Tier A intervention is required, and ideally you will be comfortable with most of the following:
PICC line insertions
Drainage tubes
Ultrasound-guided MSK injections
Superficial FNA and biopsy
CT-guided nerve root and facet joint injections
Supervision of CT colonography
It will suit a radiologist who enjoys hands-on procedural work, direct clinician interaction and the variety of a regional hospital setting.
Imaging Service
The imaging service includes:
CT
CT Coronary Angiography
MRI
Nuclear medicine
Ultrasound
X-ray
Lung screening
Arthrograms
Interventional procedures
You will be supported by an established imaging team within a hospital environment, with the systems and structure of a large national radiology network.
Getting to Mildura
Mildura is well set up for FIFO-style locum work.
There are direct flights between Melbourne and Mildura, with a flight time of around one hour each way. For interstate radiologists, the most straightforward route is usually to connect through Melbourne.
Flights, self-contained accommodation and car hire are provided.
