Prescript Recruitment is seeking experienced Interventional Radiologists for a substantial 2027 locum roster in Darwin, Northern Territory.
This is a tertiary hospital IR opportunity, combining a broad interventional workload with exposure to complex acute, emergency and inpatient medicine. The department provides comprehensive imaging across CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, PET and interventional procedures, with 24-hour emergency imaging support.
The radiology service is supported by an established, radiologist-led private imaging group with extensive experience delivering diagnostic and interventional services into major public hospitals. Their hospital work includes exposure to areas such as multitrauma, Indigenous health, tropical and travel medicine and complex interventional radiology, supported by established teleradiology capability and experience across multiple RIS/PACS environments.
For an IR radiologist looking for substantive clinical work rather than a predominantly reporting-based locum, Darwin offers an opportunity to work within a major referral hospital serving metropolitan Darwin as well as patients from across the Top End and remote Northern Territory.

Setting: Major tertiary public hospital imaging department
Daily rate: $4,000 per day
On-call payment: $4,000 per 7-day roster period
Call-in payment: $1,000 per call-in
Travel: Return flights provided
Accommodation: Provided
Car: Provided
Roster: Sunday 12:00pm to Sunday 12:00pm
Commitment: Week-long blocks, with multiple consecutive weeks potentially available
