No weekends. No on-call. Just Monday-to-Friday radiology, a relaxed coastal setting and the option to choose the weeks that suit you between August and December 2026.
Prescript is partnering with a leading regional imaging provider to support its Fraser Coast service, with the majority of the work based at Hervey Bay Hospital.
What Your Week Will Look Like
You will be reporting a broad mix of public hospital imaging across:
CT
MRI
Ultrasound
General X-ray
Daily volumes are generally around 80–100 mixed cases.
Procedural capability would be welcomed, although it is not essential. The priority is a confident General Radiologist who enjoys varied work and can settle comfortably into an established regional service.
The role is primarily based at Hervey Bay Hospital, with the broader imaging network also supporting nearby private, community and regional sites across Hervey Bay and Maryborough. This provides some flexibility depending on service requirements and your experience.

On-call: None

Life Outside the Reporting Room
A working day in Hervey Bay can begin with coffee near the beach before heading into the hospital.
After work, the Esplanade is ideal for a walk, a swim or dinner overlooking the water. The foreshore stretches for kilometres, the beaches are calm, and the pace is noticeably more relaxed than a major metro centre.
Between August and October, Hervey Bay is also in the middle of its whale-watching season, while K’gari is close enough to turn a locum week into a longer coastal break.
It is one of those locations where the work feels worthwhile, but the placement still feels like time away.
