Manning Base Hospital, in the heart of Taree’s Manning Valley, has recently completed Stage 1 of a major redevelopment, delivering a fresh, modern ED environment with advanced imaging (MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray), expanded clinical spaces, and improved patient flow. Stage 2 is now underway, promising even more contemporary inpatient facilities, enhanced campus connectivity, and telehealth-ready infrastructure.
You’ll be part of a capable and collegial team, supported by In-Charge Doctors, SRMOs, RMOs, and interns, caring for over 30,000 ED presentations each year. The department includes 10 acute beds, 2 resus bays, a procedure room, consult spaces, and isolation facilities - designed to help you work efficiently while delivering high-quality care.
The Role
Position: FACEM – Locum
Location: Manning Base Hospital, Taree, NSW
Rate: $3,000/day
Shifts: Day (0800–1830), Evening (1300–2300), Night (2230–0830)
Dates Available: 18 August – 7 September 2025 (choose single or multiple shifts to fit your calendar)

Taree is the vibrant hub of the Manning Valley on NSW’s Mid North Coast - a region known for its beautiful river, fishing and boating, local festivals, fresh oysters, and relaxed pace of life. From Sydney, you can reach Taree in around 3.5 hours by car, or 5–6 hours by train. From Newcastle, it’s just over 2 hours drive. The nearby Taree Airport adds extra convenience.
