The Role
We are seeking a Rural Generalist or FACEM to work at Katherine Hospital in a supervisory Emergency Department role.

You will be working across a broad scope that includes:
senior clinical oversight within the ED

early critical care, including peripheral vasopressors and arterial lines
a wide mix of acute presentations in a regional hospital environment
This is the kind of role that suits doctors who enjoy breadth in their work, are confident making decisions, and value being genuinely useful in a service where senior support matters.
What We Require

FACEM
FACRRM
Advanced Specialist Training in Emergency Medicine
ACEM Certificate or Diploma
or equivalent senior ED experience
You must also have:

ability to manage non-invasive ventilation independently
confidence with early critical care, including peripheral vasopressors such as metaraminol and arterial lines
current AHPRA registration
eligibility for credentialing
The Location
Katherine offers a different kind of regional placement - one where the work is broad, the need is real and experienced doctors can make a meaningful contribution in a short space of time.
For doctors who enjoy regional emergency medicine, the appeal here is the scope of practice, the seniority of the role and the opportunity to contribute in a setting where breadth and confidence are genuinely valued.

flights covered
accommodation provided
car hire reimbursed
full Prescript support throughout the placement
