Katherine Hospital is offering ongoing locum opportunities for FACEMs from November 2025 onwards. This well-equipped regional Emergency Department provides the chance to practise hands-on, high-impact medicine while enjoying the relaxed rhythm of outback life.
Role: FACEM
Location: Katherine Hospital – Northern Territory
Rate: $3,000 per day
Beds: 6-bed Emergency Department
Average Presentations: 50 per day
FACEMs work closely with a skilled team of RMOs and nurses, providing clinical leadership and oversight during the day and being on-call overnight. This role offers the best of both worlds — meaningful, autonomous clinical work in a supportive regional environment.

What We’re Looking For
Current AHPRA Specialist Registration as a FACEM
Availability for one or more of the listed blocks from November 2025 onwards
Strong emergency medicine leadership and decision-making skills
