The service is running an intensive Health Check and Care Plan initiative aimed at strengthening preventative care and chronic disease management across the community.
Experienced GPs with AMS and Communicare experience are invited to join the team for structured two-week locum placements throughout 2026.

Locum Details
We are seeking experienced GPs to support a targeted community health initiative focused on preventative care and coordinated care planning.
In this role, you can expect to:
Complete 8–10 health checks and care plans per day
Deliver patient-centred care within an Aboriginal Medical Service setting
Work alongside experienced nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers and allied health professionals
Support preventative health programs and chronic disease management
This is a structured full-time locum placement designed to support an important community health program.
Dates
Two-week locum blocks currently available:
16 – 27 March 2026
13 – 24 April 2026
8 – 18 June 2026
