Work in a Metropolitan Melbourne location with 8 am - 5 pm shifts and locum rates.

With no on-call and optional weekend work, you’ll be able to experience a great work-life balance and spend your evenings and weekends winding down or exploring!

The Position

Earn locum rates and work only 8 am to 5 pm shifts in Melbourne.

Ongoing work for both HMOs and Registrars in their medical department. Work in a supportive environment with excellent senior support and enjoy a metropolitan Melbourne location and the benefit of locum rates

The role is working within the HITH department, with a Monday to Friday 0800-1700 roster. Additionally, weekend work is available if desired.

Job duties include:

Daily on the ground management of HITH patients, including medical, surgical, and other speciality patients

Daily support from a Consultant

The team is overseen by the Medical Director

Work closely with general medicine and surgery, and you will have the opportunity to attend their ward rounds

About Paul Tillman

As Prescripts Senior Recruitment Partner for non-specialist doctors, I am passionate about building close relationships with both the doctors and health services I work with. I always aim to provide a personal and tailored service and will strive to find the best opportunities for doctors based on their needs and goals and, in turn, provide health services with the best fit for the vacancies they have.

Having worked in medical recruitment for over five years, I have a great understanding of the roles available and the challenges health services face in finding staff for their vacancies.

Prior to working in medical recruitment, I was a Registered Nurse and worked in the UK as a Respiratory HDU Nurse for NHS trusts. This means I have a great insight into the challenges of working clinically and always try to consider this in my work.

I am currently studying Nursing again to allow me the opportunity to return to some clinical work in Australia. My family and I moved to Melbourne from the UK over five years ago, and I enjoy travelling and exploring Australia whenever I can, as well as getting back home to visit family in the UK.

My passions are spending time with friends and family, including my dog Ted, eating and drinking out, enjoying the Australian weather (when Melbourne allows), and sports – most of all football (or soccer, as I am often told).

I always have time for a chat and a joke with health services and doctors alike and look forward to building new connections at Prescript.

Locum HMO Required For Urgent Care Centre In VIC - $2100 Per Day

The Position

Portland District Health provides is an integrated health service that provides acute, primary health, and aged residential care services. They are looking for a locum HMO for night duty for April and May dates. 

★ Providing 24 hour / 7 days a week service, the urgent care centre (through the emergency department) would be expecting the doctor to work independently with on-call support.

★ They see about 10k presentations per annum - majority are cat 3,4 & 5, with 9 beds made up of 3 hot zone, 6 cold zone, including 1 resus.

★ On-call support is available from Physicians, Surgeons, Paediatricians, Anaesthetists and O&G Consultants.

Portland, Victoria, is a 4-hour drive from Melbourne, and is the oldest European settlement in the state. It is also the main urban centre in the Shire of Glenelg and is located on Portland Bay.

There’s so much to do and see in this pretty nature-filled town during your time off or perhaps add on some time before or after your locum? Enjoy gorgeous cafes and restaurants, excellent hiking trails, beautiful national parks and beaches. Portland is also full to the brim with wildlife... The Position

Only 150kms from Melbourne, this health service is looking for locum ED Registrars and HMOs to join their team. There are ongoing opportunities well into February 2022.

★ Rates up to $200 per hour

★ Accommodation is supplied for the duration of the locum

★ With shift times varying from day, afternoon and night shifts, these positions suit long term, short term, or ad hoc availability

Latrobe Regional Hospital is located on the traditional land of the Gunai Kurnai Nation. This hospital is Gippsland's specialist referral and trauma centre, a teaching hospital and work very closely with Monash University's School of Rural Health and Federation University.

Shift time options:
