Prescript is currently supporting several regional hospitals across Tasmania and northern New South Wales with a range of Rural Generalist GP/ED locum placements over the coming weeks.

These roles offer a mix of hospital and emergency department coverage, providing doctors with the opportunity to contribute to essential regional services while working alongside experienced local teams.

Multiple locations and short blocks are available, with rates between $2,400 and $3,300 per day depending on the site. Higher rates may be negotiated for doctors able to take longer placements.

Locum Details

We are seeking Rural Generalists / GP VMOs comfortable providing a mix of emergency and inpatient care within regional hospital environments.

In these roles, you can expect to:

  • Provide ED coverage and inpatient support within regional hospitals

  • Work alongside experienced nursing and allied health teams

  • Manage a diverse mix of emergency and acute presentations

  • Support continuity of care for rural communities
