A respected national imaging provider is seeking radiologists to support their hospital-based service in Tamworth, NSW. As one of the key hubs for healthcare in regional New South Wales, this site provides a full spectrum of imaging services but continues to face shortages in specialist support. By stepping in, you’ll help ensure timely diagnoses and better outcomes for a community that would otherwise go without.
The Role
We are seeking general or interventional radiologists to join a busy hospital-based team. You’ll work across a broad range of modalities, including:
General X-Ray, OPG and Ultrasound
CT and MRI
Angiography and Fluoroscopy
Mammography and Nuclear Medicine
Interventional procedures tailored to your skills
The role is structured to your expertise, with no after-hours or on-call required. The department is well-equipped, with experienced technicians and administrative support to help you focus on delivering quality care.
Dates Available
Week blocks are available throughout 2025, with further dates confirmed into 2026. This flexibility makes it ideal whether you’re looking for one-off weeks or more regular locum work.

About You
You’ll hold AHPRA specialist registration and be an Australian or New Zealand citizen. You should be comfortable reporting 80–100 mixed cases per day. Interventional radiologists who are also happy to take on general reporting are especially encouraged, while sub-specialty skills such as breast or MSK are highly valued but not essential.
