Prescript Recruitment is seeking a Radiologist for a clinic-based locum opportunity in Cairns during November 2026.
This is a strong private practice locum for a Radiologist who enjoys high-quality outpatient imaging, a broad modality mix and the chance to work in one of Queensland’s most appealing tropical coastal locations.
Based primarily at a well-established Cairns city imaging clinic, the role may also include one day per week at a nearby second clinic in. The work is clinic-only, with no hospital component.
The Role
You will be working across a busy private imaging environment with an expected case mix including:
MRI
CT
Ultrasound
X-ray
Bone Mineral Density / DEXA
The expected workload is approximately 80+ cases per day.
Procedures are not essential, although they are preferred. Radiologists with experience in MSK and spine procedures, across both ultrasound and CT guidance, will be particularly well suited.

Monday 9 November – Friday 13 November 2026
Monday 16 November – Friday 20 November 2026
Monday 23 November – Friday 27 November 2026
Radiologists are welcome to discuss one, two or all three weeks.
Location
Cairns offers an ideal November locum setting, with warm tropical weather, access to the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest, and a relaxed regional lifestyle with cafés, restaurants and waterfront options close to the city centre.
The primary clinic is centrally located in Cairns, with the potential for occasional work at a nearby second clinic.

$3,500 per day, negotiable
