Prescript Recruitment is seeking GPs, Rural Generalists and Urgent Care doctors for flexible shifts across Sandringham in Melbourne’s Bayside region and Frankston, on the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula.
These are highly sought-after Melbourne metro opportunities, offering excellent hourly rates, supportive clinical environments and ongoing roster demand - without the need for rural travel.
This role may suit doctors who want regular additional shifts, metro urgent care work, holiday cover, or flexible sessions that can sit around existing clinical commitments.
The Position
We are seeking doctors for Urgent Care Centre shifts across Sandringham and Frankston, supporting patients with urgent but non-life-threatening presentations.
The shifts are based in two well-connected Victorian locations:
Sandringham sits in Melbourne’s Bayside region, around the south-east of the city, with access to surrounding coastal suburbs and established local health services.
Frankston is on the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula, giving doctors access to a major metro-fringe hub with strong local demand and proximity to the peninsula.
The centres manage a broad range of walk-in urgent care presentations and are supported by experienced nursing and reception teams. Sandringham’s urgent care service is adjacent to the Emergency Department, allowing escalation of higher-acuity patients when required.
These roles are ideal for doctors who are confident assessing and managing urgent presentations, working autonomously, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Why This Role?
This is a strong opportunity for GPs and Rural Generalists who want urgent care work in metropolitan Victoria, with premium hourly rates and flexibility around availability.
For Melbourne-based doctors, these shifts may offer a convenient way to add premium urgent care work around existing commitments. For interstate doctors already planning time in Victoria, they offer metro-accessible work in two recognisable lifestyle locations.
You will be working in established urgent care settings designed to support patients with urgent but non-emergency presentations - helping reduce pressure on nearby emergency departments while providing accessible care to the community.
For doctors who enjoy variety, pace and practical clinical decision-making, this offers a rewarding alternative to standard GP sessions, with the benefit of strong onsite support.
