We’re supporting Swan Hill Health Service with a high-value locum opportunity for an experienced Acute Ward Clinical Lead / Rural Generalist.
This role is ideal for a senior clinician who enjoys leading from the front while remaining clinically hands-on. You’ll provide clear clinical leadership of the Acute Ward, supported by a strong junior medical team and established escalation pathways.
The blocks are well defined, the scope is clear, and the service is known for being welcoming, organised, and appreciative of experienced locums.
The Role
Clinical leadership of the Acute Ward
General Medicine admissions and ward reviews
Escalations, MET calls, trauma and Code Blue responses
On-call as rostered
Ward size of up to ~20 General Medicine patients
Strong HMO support across day and afternoon shifts
Dates Available
23 February – 1 March 2026
9 March – 15 March 2026
One or both blocks available.
What’s Included
$2,500 per day (inclusive of on-call & recalls)
