Prescript is delighted to offer radiologist locum opportunities across several diverse locations throughout Queensland. Each location has slightly different date availability, although if these dates don’t suit you, please check with me as the health service can usually offer some flexibility.

We currently have dates available at Sunshine Coast/ Maroochydore/Coolum, Brisbane and Rockhampton from June 2023 to January 2024, for an excellent rate of $3800 per day.

The Positions

This health service has numerous sites located throughout Queensland and offers a range of services which include X-ray, CT, US, X-ray, mammography and MRI. You can expect to find an interesting case mix in a supportive and friendly environment. We will match your skills and experience to each position.

Sunshine Coast/ Maroochydore/ Coolum
The Sunshine Coast region is considered a paradise for beach lovers and nature enthusiasts. About Jason Ahmad

I’m Jason Ahmad – Senior Radiology Recruitment Partner at Prescript. I have worked in a number of health-related fields; however, medical recruitment has been the most enjoyable. I have more than 20 years of experience in areas such as Pathology, Medical Indemnity and GP Recruitment. This broad knowledge base allows me to understand the challenges faced by those in our field and therefore find solutions that often create enduring positive outcomes.

I am driven professionally by being able to create positive and meaningful health outcomes in rural and regional communities. It is immensely satisfying helping practices and hospitals find the right doctor for their permanent and locum positions, and I pride myself on finding optimal outcomes that balance doctor needs with practice requirements. Every time I make a placement, we are one step closer to solving the regional doctor shortage.

I see many opportunities for growth in the medical industry. I am particularly interested in seeing the barriers faced by International Medical Graduates lowered to facilitate their registration with the Australian Medical Board. As a cohort, they offer a very real solution to the enduring rural workforce shortage. I feel as a country, we have the resources and technology to do this without compromising patient safety.

Outside of work, I’m personally driven to encourage and support my two sons whose development are my greatest aspiration. Aside from a two-year stay in Melbourne, I have lived my entire life in Adelaide. I enjoy being outdoors when I can, and love a game of pool, and watching the cricket or football; especially at a live match. I have three cats and a dog who are sources of endless comfort and, at times, amusement.

Medical Registrar Locum - Monday to Friday - Weekends off - Great Hourly Rate

Having worked with many of the team members in my previous role, they recognised my skills and experience in the health field and thought that I could bring valuable knowledge and tools to the organisation. It’s a pleasure to be a part of the Prescript team.

I am a dedicated recruitment professional with an extensive background in the healthcare industry. I began my career at a sole-doctor GP practice and during my 17 years there, I helped grow the practice to nine staff members, including four doctors, four part-time receptionists, and myself. Seeking to broaden my knowledge, I then transitioned to Medical Workforce at a small rural public hospital where I enjoyed building relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff.

My experience working with hospitals and practices enables me to put myself in both health services and doctors’ shoes and truly understand their recruitment needs from their perspective.

The Position

Supporting the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department, your role will encompass evaluating and attending to all patients who present to the department. Collaborating closely with a dedicated team comprising a Consultant, SRMO and RMO who are on-site until 10 pm, and Surgical and General Medical teams who work overnight, you will collectively strive to deliver exceptional healthcare to patients in need.

There is a mix of day, night and weekend shifts available. You’ll be earning a great hourly rate of $160-$180, depending on roster/shift, and accommodation is provided.

Locum ED Registrars – Work and Ski in the Snowy Mountains NSW

Fancy spending the Australian winter in the foothills of Australia’s best ski resorts? You will be providing support to a small rural emergency department and enjoying the surrounding mountains on your days off.

This is a great opportunity for ED Registrars to expand your ED skills and experience in a fantastic location. With morning or afternoon shifts only (no nights), a great rate of $180ph, and plenty of time off to enhance your ski skills, this is a very attractive locum that won’t be around for long!

About Paul Tillman

As Prescripts Senior Recruitment Partner for non-specialist doctors, I am passionate about building close relationships with both the doctors and health services I work with. I always aim to provide a personal and tailored service and will strive to find the best opportunities for doctors based on their needs and goals and, in turn, provide health services with the best fit for the vacancies they have.

Having worked in medical recruitment for over five years, I have a great understanding of the roles available and the challenges health services face in finding staff for their vacancies.

Prior to working in medical recruitment, I was a Registered Nurse and worked in the UK as a Respiratory HDU Nurse for NHS trusts. This means I have a great insight into the challenges of working clinically and always try to consider this in my work.

I am currently studying Nursing again to allow me the opportunity to return to some clinical work in Australia. My family and I moved to Melbourne from the UK over five years ago, and I enjoy travelling and exploring Australia whenever I can, as well as getting back home to visit family in the UK.

My passions are spending time with friends and family, including my dog Ted, eating and drinking out, enjoying the Australian weather (when Melbourne allows), and sports – most of all football (or soccer, as I am often told).

The Position

Escape to the allure of the Cooloola Coast QLD, a breathtaking location encompassing Cooloola Cove, Tin Can Bay, and Rainbow Beach, nestled near the majestic Great Sandy Straits and K'gari (Fraser Island).

Join a dedicated DPA/MMM5 healthcare provider seeking VR General Practitioners. This practice has an ongoing locum need and requires doctors ASAP. A minimum of one-week blocks will be considered.

With a focus on personalised, professional, and high-quality healthcare, you can contribute to the well-being of the vibrant Cooloola community.

★ Support an MM5 location

★ Earn 70% of mixed billings - High earning potential (roughly $1800 per day)

Please note: This health service will be transitioning from bulk billing to mixed billing as of the 1st of July.

Hi there, I'm Ash - Prescript's Recruitment Partner for Family Medicine GPs and Psychiatrists. Based in Adelaide, my aim is to become the most knowledgeable recruiter for Psychiatrists and Family Medical GPs in Australia. With over three years of recruitment experience in a variety of industries, I've gained a deep understanding of the needs of both clients and candidates. Recently, I served as a Board Member, where I focused on upholding ethical standards and streamlining operations. Additionally, as a Co-Managing Director and Co-Founder within the recruitment industry, I worked hard to develop and implement business strategies that prioritised client needs and ensured positive outcomes for all involved.

I'm a firm believer in continuous learning and am always striving to expand my skill set. Rural Generalists - Locum on Captivating Norfolk Island in 2023

It’s not often that GP Locum opportunities arise in locations that are (accurately) described as “Island Paradises”.

For Rural Generalists, a truly unique experience awaits at this remote and spectacular holiday destination.

Tranquil Norfolk Island has something for everyone, but is most suited to those passionate about the beauty of the natural world. Diving with local sharks, scaling Mount Pitt, bushwalking in the subtropical forests of the national park or just admiring the clifftop views. It’s impossible to be disappointed on your days off.

With short term locum blocks throughout 2023 available, and competition high for this “bucket list locum”, register your interest as soon as possible to secure your island getaway.

The Position

Working alongside 4 other GPs, you will be providing primary care and emergency services to Norfolk Island’s small tightknit community and transient tourist population.

On-call responsibilities are shared evenly, allowing you to explore your surrounds on the majority of your evenings and weekends. Your work will be split between the refurbished local district hospital, and multi-purpose service– with support from experienced nursing, community, mental and allied health teams.

We get great feedback from returning locums about the working environment. We can arrange a call directly with them so you can better understand the position if required

Returning GPs or those able to offer longer blocks are preferred for continuity of care, so why not make this a repeat or extended locum?

THE LOCATION:

Norfolk Island is a small island paradise in the South Pacific Ocean. Famous for its seafood, picturesque beaches, and friendly community, a trip to Norfolk Island will definitely be one to remember.

Discover Norfolk Island’s rich culture, waterfalls, outlooks and trendy cafes & restaurants, not to mention impeccably crystal-clear waters, which are sheltered by teeming coral reefs just a short swim from the sand. Be sure to take a trip to the remarkable Emily Bay – which has been named one of the top 10 beaches in Australia.
