The Position
In partnership with our health service client, we’re looking for a skilled GP to join a nurse-led clinic serving Kakadu’s vibrant community. Supported by nursing staff and Aboriginal Health Practitioners, GPs focus on scheduled care, chronic disease management, and specialist referrals. No on-call requirements mean your off-hours are truly yours to experience Kakadu’s breathtaking wonders. Emergency cases are managed by NT Health, ensuring you can focus on quality care within the clinic.

Kakadu National Park offers an unparalleled opportunity to connect with Australia’s rich natural and cultural heritage. Visit ancient Aboriginal rock art sites at Nourlangie and Ubirr, where you’ll see vivid paintings that reveal the stories and spirituality of the local Bininj/Mungguy people. Take a scenic cruise on Yellow Water Billabong, home to abundant birdlife and impressive wildlife, including crocodiles and buffalo. For breathtaking views, head to the Nourlangie and Ubirr lookouts or explore the cascading beauty of Jim Jim and Twin Falls. Kakadu is a birdwatcher's paradise, with over 280 species to spot, and offers endless trails and scenic drives to fully immerse yourself in the park’s stunning landscapes.

January 2025 onwards – flexible with ongoing 3-week block options
Benefits Provided
$1800 - $2100 per day – not dependent on billings or appointment limits
Comprehensive support – all travel and accommodation provided, including in Darwin and on-site
Training provided – paid induction ensures you’re set up for success
Day shifts only – no weekends, on-call, or public holidays
Immersive cultural experience – work closely with Indigenous communities, exploring ancient traditions and rock art
What We Require From You
AHPRA-registered GP with FRACGP or FACRRM
Proven primary care experience in rural or remote settings (Indigenous health experience is a plus)
Cultural awareness and commitment to supporting remote communities
Australian citizen or permanent resident with current Police Check and NT Working with Children (or willingness to obtain)
