The Position

Role: Senior Emergency Department Registrar
Location: Launceston General Hospital, Tasmania
Dates: 19/09/2024 – 06/11/2024

Launceston General Hospital invites dedicated Senior ED Registrars to join its Emergency Department team for locum dates from September to November. Speak to Prescript about your availability and reserve your dates. As the senior ED doctor capable of doing nights in charge, you will lead both in-charge and non-charge shifts.

  • Launceston is the major regional referral hospital and provides ACEM training.

  • No solo nights.

  • Comprehensive support throughout your locum tenure.

  • All nights are staffed by 1 senior registrar & 1-2 Jnr registrars and 2-3 JMOs.

  • Multiple FACEMs are on site from 0800-2400.

  • FACEM on-call from 2400-0800.

  • Most key sub-specialties on-site, including 24/7 Cath lab, ECMO-capable ICU.

Dates Available

Start: 19/09/2024

End: 06/11/2024

Once your availability is confirmed, you’ll receive a mix of full-time equivalent shifts, scheduled and communicated directly by Prescript.

    • Day/Afternoon/Evening: $1500 per shift

    • On-site FACEMs from 0800-2400 with on-call support from 2400-0800.

    • Choose your preferred payment method:

      • Prescript Payroll: Rate inclusive of superannuation with salary packaging available.

    Once you land, it’s a short 12-minute drive to the hospital, so you’ll be ready to start your locum assignment in no time.

What We Require From You

AHPRA General Registration

Emergency Registrar Experience

Australian or New Zealand Residency/Citizenship or relevant work visa

Leadership Skills: Ability to be the Lead Registrar on night shifts.
