Geriatric & General Medicine Telehealth Opportunity - Design Your Own Career

Prescript has partnered with a telehealth provider catering to rural and indigenous Australians. We are looking for Geriatricians and General Medicine Consultants who can provide specialist video consultations to patients referred by their GP.

This position gives you the freedom to design your work schedule that suits your lifestyle, whether that's part-time or full-time. Imagine the luxury of working in the comfort of your own home without worrying about the hassles of travelling or commuting. You can take control of your time and energy, and be able to devote time to your hobbies, family, and personal commitments.

The Position

With their purpose-built software, dedicated on-site operations team and competitive rates, this is an exceptional opportunity that allows you to choose your patient base and design your schedule to suit you.

This position is available on a short-term or long-term basis, and you have the autonomy to decide how, when, and where you want to work. Embrace the opportunity to make a difference and design a career that aligns with your values and lifestyle.

Why choose Telehealth?

  • Flexibility: Choose your work schedule, allowing you to work during your most productive hours or at times that work best with your personal commitments.

  • No Commute: Telehealth eliminates the need for commuting, which saves time and energy that can be devoted to patient care.

  • Improved Work-Life Balance: Being in control of the hours you work enables you to have more time for doing the things you love - spend more time on your hobbies, with your children or family, or perhaps pursuing something new.

  • Wider Reach: Telehealth enables doctors to see patients from anywhere, making it easier to reach patients who live in rural or remote areas, or those who have mobility issues.

  • Enhanced Patient Care: Telehealth allows doctors to provide care to patients in a safe and convenient manner, without requiring patients to travel to a clinic or hospital.

To find out more, please contact Mel Houston (Prescript’s Senior Recruitment Partner):

mel@prescript.com.au // 0414 716 132

About Mel Houston

Hi, I'm Melissa Houston; I am one of the Senior Recruitment Partners at Prescript Recruitment, working with rural generalists and emergency medicine doctors across metro and regional Australia.

My experience covers over a decade of medical recruitment, specialising in senior doctors and solving the healthcare shortage.

I am an expert in working closely with hospitals, departments, and clinics to fill their critical vacancies. My success has included roster management, executive search projects and in-depth relationship building with locum doctors.

I love to work hard whilst injecting humour and fun into my day-to-day activities. I really enjoy meeting clients and doctors; as it stands, I think I've ticked off 100 hospitals that I have visited, and that is probably only touching the surface. I believe it's integral to matching doctors’ and clients’ needs and helps me better understand doctors' new roles.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my daughter and family. I'm a water baby at heart, so you'll often find me out on our family boat - sailing the beautiful waters of the Mornington Peninsula (where I live!).
