The Position

Embark on a rural generalist locum as the sole doctor responsible for providing 24-hour cover to the 11-bed Mornington Island Hospital. Your role includes overseeing four emergency and seven ward beds, with exceptional support from a dedicated nursing team.

The Position

Biloela Hospital requires an experienced Rural Generalist with FRAC/FACRRM and ED experience. This position offers an opportunity to enjoy a ‘safe hours compliant’ workplace and free nights to enjoy your leisure time.

You will be required to cover GP presentations and be on call for ED to the hospital. Overnight on-call to the ED will be required at 1:3, with the final roster TBA. Proceduralists should expect to be on-call 1:2. Biloela offers excellent peer support with highly skilled nursing staff and an established, experienced medical superintendent.

Prescript seeks dedicated rural generalists for diverse locum roles in 2024. From GP/ED SMOS, GP Obstetricians, GP Anaesthetists to Rural Generalists with AST in Surgery, various positions await across Augathella, Quilpie, Surat, Injune, and more. Expect competitive rates, accommodation, and travel provisions, while exploring a region rich in history, from pastoral beauty to opal mines.

The Positions

GP/ED SMOS, GP Obstetrics, GP Anesthetics and Rural Generalists with AST in Surgery for 2024 opportunities. GP/ED vacancies at Augathella, Quilpie, Surat and Injune are sole doctor positions and on-call is included in the role.

The roster entails a minimum 8-hour workday with an unpaid 30-minute meal break. On-call duties will be specific to the assigned facility and may require availability at all times when not in attendance. Relieving in an MSPP or MOPP role necessitates working in the General Practice during specified hours by the EDMS.

Pacific Jewel - Norfolk Island Rural Generalist 2024 Locum Dates

Your South Pacific working holiday could kick off 2024 with this fantastic Rural Generalist role on Norfolk Island.  There’s so much more to Norfolk island than being recognised for it’s popular pine trees  – It’s a treasure box full of history,  amazing facts,  incredible landscapes and monumental constitutional firsts all rolled up and gifted to us to unpack whatever brilliant jewel of surprise that grabs your attention -  in one of THE most popular Locum destinations available.

The Position

Working alongside 4 other GPs,  you will be providing primary care and emergency services to Norfolk Island’s permanent community and transient tourist population.

On-call responsibilities are shared,  allowing you to explore your surrounds 5 evenings out of 7 and 3 out of 4 of your weekends.  Your work will be split between the local district hospital and multi-purpose centre with support from experienced nursing, community,  mental and allied health teams.

Returning GPs or those able to offer longer blocks are preferred for continuity of care, so why not make this a repeat or extended locum.  We are happy to connect you with other Locums who have worked on Norfolk Island to share their experience with you.
