This position is ideal for GPs who are passionate about Indigenous health, whether you have previous AMS experience or are a new Fellow looking for a rewarding and well-supported locum assignment.
The Position
This full-time locum role involves working Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with no weekend or after-hours commitments. You will be joining a highly collaborative healthcare team, delivering comprehensive and culturally appropriate primary healthcare services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The role provides an opportunity to engage in holistic, patient-centered care, making a direct impact on the health and well-being of the local community. The support of an experienced and dedicated team ensures a smooth transition into the role, allowing you to focus entirely on providing quality care.
With flexible dates available, you can select a placement that fits your schedule while experiencing the relaxed coastal lifestyle of regional NSW.
Dates Available
GPs are required for placements in both Batemans Bay and Bega at various times throughout the year.
In Batemans Bay, available dates include:
Immediate start until 7 February 2025
7 to 14 March 2025
29 April to 30 May 2025
In Bega, available dates include:
3 to 31 March 2025
1 to 25 April 2025
1 to 30 May 2025
These flexible placements allow you to choose the period that best suits your availability.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for GPs looking to gain experience in Indigenous health or continue their work in AMS settings.
What We Require From You
To be eligible for this role, you must hold Specialist AHPRA Registration and be a Fellow of the RACGP (FRACGP).
While prior experience in AMS settings is preferred, this position is also well suited to new Fellows who have a strong interest in Indigenous health and are open to undertaking short-term or repeat locum assignments.
