When I first launched Prescript Recruitment, I wanted it to be more than just a recruitment business. I wanted it to be a vehicle for impact - solving Australia’s regional doctor shortage while creating a workplace culture that genuinely cared.
A few years ago, I had the privilege of sharing that story on the Inspiring Business for Good podcast with Harvee Pene, TEDx speaker and co-founder of Inspire – Life Changing Accountants. That conversation captured the heart of why I started Prescript and how giving shaped both my business and my life.
In the episode, I talk about:
My first experience with giving as a young person, supporting famine relief in Cambodia
How visiting the Northern Territory in 2009 and seeing the Fred Hollows Foundation’s work opened my eyes to impact at scale
Why I documented Prescript’s values before I even opened the doors, to ensure every new team member shared the same vision
How we help rural and remote communities by placing doctors where they’re needed most—and the incredible difference that makes
Why sharing your giving campaigns matters and how it builds connection, trust, and inspiration
This was one of those conversations where you reflect on your journey and the reasons behind every decision. If you’re curious about the roots of Prescript, our values, and why “giving” is core to what we do, I invite you to listen to this episode.
