General Medicine Consultant – Mount Gambier SA - Up To $2400 Per Shift

The Positions

Prescript has a General Medicine Consultant locum opportunity from 22 November 2021 to 31 January 2022. If you have any availability to assist, we'd love to hear from you!

Mount Gambier is only a five-hour drive from Adelaide and a great regional holiday spot with the beautiful blue lake craters. Spend your weekends exploring the local walking trails, take a trip to Adelaide, or enjoy wine country in rural South Australia.

★ The hospital provides specialist surgical, obstetrics, paediatric, and anaesthetics services. 

★ Shifts will normally run from 0800 to 1600 with an extra pay incentive for 24-hour on-call periods. 

★ $2,285 daily rates and $2400 for 24-hour on-call period.

★ Doctors will participate in a roster and holidays can be discussed.

★ Registrar medicine support will be provided as well as RMOs. 

You will provide medical support including palliative and mental health care to all medical ward presentations as well as assist with ED, high dependency, and other clinical areas. Part of the role will also be on-call support for the outpatient clinics.

★ This hospital has a service area of 214,000 people in the local community, covering Bundaberg, Fraser Coast, North Burnett, and parts of Gladstone.

★ Working hours are typically 0800-1700 Monday to Friday with participation in the on-call roster.

★ This health service provides an onsite Imaging Centre, ICU, ED, Outpatient Services, Pharmacy, and Pathology.

General Medicine Consultants, this is a rare part-time locum opportunity - working 3.5 days a week. This role is perfect for someone looking for a great work-life balance – giving you the time and freedom to enjoy all that WA has to offer!

★ $2,000 per day for a full day's work and $1,000 per day for half a day or sessional work. 

★ ASAP October dates through to 11 January 2022, with a strong chance of extension.

★ Only 25 minutes from Perth CBD.

★ Flexibility with days of the week worked, meaning you can work in other locum or permanent arrangements alongside this position.

Locum Cardiologist – Sydney - $2k Per Day - Oct to Dec 2021

The Positions

Locum Cardiologists – this is a great opportunity for private locum work in the southern and western suburbs of Sydney.

★ This expanding private practice has been incredibly busy and could quite easily fill up a doctor's schedule with a list of patients straight away!

★ Dates are available from October to December 2021, with the ability to extend for additional dates into the new year.

★ There are three different locations; however, they can work with you on which locations you work at based on your commute.

★ Working hours are 9 am to 5 pm, and most Cardiologists typically see around 20 to 24 patients a day.  

★ The Cardiologists at these centres are bulk billed, and they focus on consulting and dictating referrals. Doctors are also responsible for Holter and ABP monitor reporting, echo, and stress echo reporting.

★ Onsite Cardiac Technicians prepare roughly 4-5 reports for Cardiologists to review and sign off on a day.

★ Sonographers prepare the preliminary reports for Cardiologists, typically performing 15-18 tests per day.

Mycobacterial Public Health Medical Officer

➞ Location - TB/NTM/Leprosy clinic in Darwin, plus Katherine, Nhulunbuy and remote communities

➞ Coordinate, promote, and implement Territory-wide controls for TB, leprosy, and non-tuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) disorders

➞ Run the TB/NTM/Leprosy clinic in Darwin, plus Katherine, Nhulunbuy and remote communities. You will also provide input to Alice Springs and Tennant Creek mycobacterial programs

➞ Use your prior experience with TB/Leprosy to facilitate clinical management controls

➞ Work with community groups to implement screening

Surveillance Public Health Medical Officer

➞ Location - Darwin based

➞ Provide monitoring and quality assurance of all surveillance systems

➞ Analyse and interpret epidemiological data from public health

➞ Assist in the management of outbreaks within the state

➞ Work closely with the epidemiology and support teams to contribute to national surveillance policy through national committees

Medical Advisor - COVID 19 Public Health Medical Officer

➞ Location - Darwin based

➞ Provide public health advice into the implementation and evaluation of the COVID 19 immunisation program

➞ Accountable for the clinical advice on vaccine safety and reporting of Adverse Events Following Immunisations (AEFIs)

➞ Provide high-level timely advice to health professionals and the Minster

➞ Represent Northern Territory on national committees and appropriate media forums in consultation with the NT Health Media Unit

Who We’re Looking For

✓ General Registration with APHRA and enrolled in training for FAFPHM

✓ You must either be an Australian citizen/permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen or a relevant work visa

✓ Experience with Aboriginal Health is advantageous

✓ Doctors not currently working in COVID hotspot areas will be highly regarded; however, hotspot doctors can and will be considered

★ This 143-bed facility operates as the largest hub for the South West region of WA. This location receives all major specialist presentations and is an accredited BPT site with the RACP.
