Telehealth GP - Work From Home Locum Opportunity

Telehealth is becoming increasingly attractive among both doctors and patients. Prescript is currently looking for GP doctors interested in locuming via Telehealth for a private clinic.

Working from home comes with a multitude of benefits - Flexible working means you can finally have the ideal work-life balance and work to a schedule that suits you and your lifestyle.

The Position

We have long-term locum positions, with options for 3 months or more, to accommodate your career goals. Dates are available ASAP and ongoing, with a critical focus on availability between 18 Dec to 07 Jan.

★ GP non-fellow or VR GP

★ 60% of billings, around 8-10 patients per hour

★ Private clinic

Whether you're looking to complement your existing locum and permanent work arrangements or embark on a transformative new career path, Telehealth could be the perfect next step for you.

If you are a VR doctor and not under a moratorium, you will be able to consult for Mental Health Care Plans. They have an integrated video component to meet Medicare requirements.

On average, doctors are usually conducting about 7-10 consultations per hour. Occasionally you will have a longer consultation but it tends to evens out.

Please note you cannot work from overseas with this health service - you must be based in Australia.

Rotating roster - shift times:

➞ Monday to Sunday (7 days a week)

➞ Shifts start from 6am - midnight across the country

➞ Simply let us know what hours and days work for you, and we will work with you to tailor the role to suit your availability

There is also the potential to move to a more permanent role - rotating between shift times.

About Mel Houston

Hi, I'm Melissa Houston; I am one of the Senior Recruitment Partners at Prescript Recruitment, working with rural generalists and emergency medicine doctors across metro and regional Australia.

My experience covers over a decade of medical recruitment, specialising in senior doctors and solving the healthcare shortage.

I am an expert in working closely with hospitals, departments, and clinics to fill their critical vacancies. My success has included roster management, executive search projects and in-depth relationship building with locum doctors.

I love to work hard whilst injecting humour and fun into my day-to-day activities. I really enjoy meeting clients and doctors; as it stands, I think I've ticked off 100 hospitals that I have visited, and that is probably only touching the surface. I believe it's integral to matching doctors’ and clients’ needs and helps me better understand doctors' new roles.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my daughter and family. I'm a water baby at heart, so you'll often find me out on our family boat - sailing the beautiful waters of the Mornington Peninsula (where I live!).
