Rural Generalist Locum in the Picturesque Streaky Bay

Prescript has partnered with a health service in Streaky Bay to provide them with a highly skilled and experienced Rural Generalist locum doctor to fill in for annual leave cover for the General Practice and Emergency Department. As a Rural Generalist, you will be critical in providing quality healthcare to their rural community.

Streaky Bay is a picturesque coastal town located on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. The city is known for its stunning natural beauty, pristine beaches, rugged coastlines, and abundant wildlife. The town has a friendly and welcoming community with various amenities, including cafes, restaurants, and shops. Streaky Bay is a popular tourist destination, offering a range of outdoor activities, including fishing, surfing, and hiking.

Over these dates, the weather is beautiful, and the months of March and April tend to be quieter. 

Dates within this health service are rare - they have not used locums for over 2 years so be sure to secure your preferred dates ASAP.

The Position

Earn a competitive daily rate of up to $2100 per day (depending on experience) in the picturesque Streaky Bay.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in Streaky Bay and surrounding areas. Your duties will include providing emergency care, managing inpatient care, and conducting outpatient clinics.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and other medical staff to provide comprehensive care.

Who We're Looking For

Specialist registration with AHPRA

Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM)

You must be an Australian permanent resident or citizen, a New Zealand citizen, or other relevant work visa

Demonstrated clinical skills and experience in a rural or remote setting
