We're currently looking for a locum GP to work within this Tasmanian facility for a three-month period from April to June 2023 with a competitive daily rate of $2000.
Working in a correctional facility can provide exposure to a wide range of medical conditions and presentations. This is a great opportunity to develop new skills and expand your medical knowledge.
The Position
Working in primary care only you'll be responsible for initial assessments and ongoing medical care to those in custody at Risdon Prison.
You'll be working closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all patients receive the highest quality of care. You'll have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals and make a real difference to the lives of those in custody.

⇒ This position is available from 1st April to 30th June 2023.
⇒ 5 days per week 0830-1700 - day work only
⇒ Weekend on-call is required as part of a shared roster: $500pd for being on-call additional $1500 for any callbacks

Who We’re Looking For
✓ Specialist or General AHPRA Registration
✓ Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM
✓ The ideal candidate will have experience working as a GP, preferably with experience in a correctional facility.
✓ You'll be a compassionate and caring individual with excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
✓ You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen, or relevant work visa
