Locum GPs – Clinical Trial Medical Officer – $2500pd – Young NSW

Have you envisaged applying your specialist general practice experience in a clinical trials environment?  Or maybe apply your existing clinical trial experience in a locum position with excellent remuneration?

For a 5 week period (with possibility of extension) you have the opportunity to assist with the oversight of a clinical trial in Young, NSW – with all provisions catered for.

Previous experience in public health, immunology or infectious diseases are desirable, but GPs interested in upskilling and quick to learn clinical trial protocols are encouraged to apply.

The Position

Working alongside on-site research assistants and nurse practitioners, you will be participating in the clinical activities designated to the role:

➞ Undertaking consent, eligibility checks and enrolment of participants

➞ Collecting medical histories and performing physical exams

➞ Providing immunisation advice specific to the trial and participants

➞ Assisting with recruitment awareness within the local community

★ Start date 6th February for 5 weeks

★ Possibility of extension

★ $2500 per day or standard sessional VMO rates

★ Suitable for GP Fellows & Non-Fellows (no provider number requirements)

★ Accommodation and travel provided

Must arrive in Young on Sunday 5th February ahead of Monday morning induction and clinic

Who We’re Looking For

✓ Fellowship or Advance Trainee of the RACGP or ACRRM   

✓ Experience in public health, immunology, infectious diseases, paediatrics desired but not essential

✓ AHPRA Specialist or General Registration

✓ You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen, or relevant work visa
