The Position
As DMS, you’ll join the Executive Team at PDH and provide trusted clinical leadership across the health service. You’ll guide service delivery, strengthen clinical governance frameworks, and support the development of a credentialed, sustainable workforce.
The role is equal parts strategic and operational—ideal for a leader who understands that systems create safety, and relationships build trust. You’ll work closely with the CEO and Board to deliver on PDH’s strategic plan, while collaborating across the region to improve access, quality, and innovation in healthcare delivery.

This is a permanent, full-time leadership role based in Portland, Victoria. The start date is flexible for the right candidate. (Ask about possible locum dates that are available too.)

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a DMS with leadership capability, vision, and a genuine commitment to improving healthcare in regional communities.
To be considered, you’ll need:
Current AHPRA registration
Fellowship with RACMA, or progress towards Fellowship and/or relevant postgraduate qualifications in health management
Demonstrated experience in senior medical leadership within public health
A sound understanding of clinical governance, medico-legal matters, and relevant health legislation
Strong interpersonal skills, capable of leading clinical teams, working across disciplines, and building trust in a regional context
