The Position

As a Locum Executive Director of Medical Services at THS-Royal Hobart Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery.

  • Providing strategic leadership and direction to the Medical Services department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and patient-centred care.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to implement policies and procedures related to medical services, contributing to a culture of excellence and innovation.

  • Working closely with the Deputy Executive Director - Medical Services, who will provide support and supervision throughout your locum.

  • Participating in day work shifts and being available for on-call duties, ensuring the provision of comprehensive medical services to patients.

  • Embracing the opportunity to work in a flexible arrangement tailored to suit your availability and preferences, including weekends and after-hours.

  • You are enjoying the freedom to work from home, your clinic, or any location with a reliable internet connection, providing a truly flexible and convenient work environment.

Current registration with AHPRA

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder

Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

You must be an Australian permanent resident or citizen, a New Zealand citizen, or other relevant work visa

Hi, I'm Melissa Houston; I am one of the Senior Recruitment Partners at Prescript Recruitment, working with rural generalists and emergency medicine doctors across metro and regional Australia.

My experience covers over a decade of medical recruitment, specialising in senior doctors and solving the healthcare shortage.

I love to work hard whilst injecting humour and fun into my day-to-day activities. Outside of work, I love spending time with my daughter and family. I'm a water baby at heart, so you'll often find me out on our family boat - sailing the beautiful waters of the Mornington Peninsula (where I live!).
