Prescript is partnering with a 300-bed public hospital in Tasmania to find an experienced Staff Specialist - Endocrinologist to provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient care to a growing regional population. This is a permanent position available from July 2017; locum cover is required in the short term.

The Department of Medicine has a strong research culture with many physicians conducting independent and clinical trial based research with affiliation with the Clifford Craig Medical Research Trust.

About the role

You will be providing day to day medical care for one of the highest performing Emergency Departments in the Queensland state, which sees on average 50,000 presentations per year. You‘ll gain exposure to the complete spectrum of medical presentations, and see a relatively high amount of trauma compared the capital city hospital. This is an ACEM accredited hospital meaning you will work alongside an experienced consultant-led department and have access to a wealth of medical knowledge. 
 
About the location

This charming city is located a stone’s throw away from the Southern Great Barrier Reef and is exposed to sub-tropical climates, stunning beaches, and a biodiverse coastal region. Benefits

Queensland Health will offer an attractive remuneration based on your postgraduate year between $105,377 – $122,176 plus superannuation (pension), and professional development allowances.
