And when the sky allows, I absolutely love watching a full moon rise.

If there were three words to describe me, it would be determined, diligent and empathetic. My colleagues would also say I'm detail-oriented. However, they all sound quite serious, therefore, I should add that I do love to have a good laugh and be a little silly when required in the name of fun!

General Radiologist Locums – Summer Holidays – Don’t Leave Planning Any Later

Have you thought about your plans for the December and January summer holidays?

It’s always a busy time of year and will come around very fast. And with accommodation options already booking up quickly in popular locations, it’s the perfect time to lock something in while good options are still available. 

Prescript has locum positions across Australia over December and/or January; and also into 2023.

Why you should book a locum in now:

✓ More Locum Options – There are more options to choose from right now, as opposed to a month or two down the track, which means a better chance of getting your preferred location.

✓ Better Accommodation – Already, accommodation options are becoming limited as holidaymakers make plans to escape for a family getaway. If you leave locking in a locum any later, there will not be as many options for the Radiology service to select from for you.

✓ Lower Travel Costs - If taking family, you’ll be able to lock in flights now while they are still relatively cheap.

The Position

Below is a selection of the locum roles from most states that we have available over the December & January break. If any of these locations look appealing to you, please get in contact for more information:

Roles at $3,800 per day: Riverina region NSW

Roles at $3,500 per day: Brisbane, Fraser Coast, Port Macquarie (Tier B), Armidale, Sydney, South Coast NSW, Canberra, Echuca/Shepparton, Gippsland region, Northern TAS, Hobart, Darwin, Perth, Albany.

Locum General Radiologist Roles With A Difference - Up To $4,000 Per Day

Prescript would love to speak to any general radiologists who are interested in a locum role that’s a little bit different from the rest. 

⇒ Head to the Top End where you’ll work in the state’s largest hospitals and get to experience a really unique and interesting casemix.

⇒ Go to the outback Queensland mining town of Mount Isa which is one of our most remote locums on offer, with Radiologists returning on a regular basis.

⇒ Or perhaps for a little taste of Italy in regional NSW, you’d prefer to get amongst a thriving Italian community in the Riverina town of Griffith. This role gets some of the best feedback of any locum positions we have.

These locum positions are not always available, therefore don’t miss your chance to do something a little different over the coming months. 

The Position

Darwin, NT - $3,500 per day

✓ Radiologists can expect to be based in the public and/or private hospital, or occasionally in a suburban clinic.

✓ Whilst General Radiology skills (including interventional) are essential, breast skills would also be greatly appreciated!

 

Mount Isa, QLD - $4,000 per day

✓ You are required to operate the clinic attached to the Public Hospital, as well as provide teleradiology services to outlying hospitals/medical services. 

✓ You must be a General Radiologist with strong Tier A interventional skills. Current emergency and trauma reporting experience is required. Mammo would be beneficial. 

 

Griffith, NSW - $3,800 per day

✓ This friendly, private clinic sees approximately 80 patients per day. Feedback is that it is an efficiently run service with a very supportive, collaborative, and welcoming team.

✓ General radiologists needed with interventional skillset (FNA’s, spinal injections, MSK injections).

Over my 22-year career in health-related roles, I have been proud of the fact that I have worked in highly regarded organisations such as Johnson & Johnson Medical, St Vincent's Hospital, and now at Prescript Recruitment as Senior Radiology Recruitment Partner. Born and raised in Wollongong, NSW, and a proud "Gong girl", I lived a busy life doing ballet, tap dancing, theatre, and singing.  After graduating from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Nutrition), I left for Sydney, where I was able to work in Medical Recruitment, Medical Device Sales, and Human Resources over the next 17 years. My personal life in Sydney involved very little downtime as I juggled career, a full & fun social life, plenty of travel and visits to see family at my parents' beautiful farm.

In early 2018, after craving a much more relaxed pace of life, I moved to Northern NSW with my partner. We spend many weekends exploring the endless hidden gems of the Northern Rivers region, eating out at the many different cafes & restaurants, and putting on our hiking shoes for a dose of nature.  Outside of that, you'll find me at Pilates, Boxing, hitting the beach, and catching up with friends. And when the sky allows, I absolutely love watching a full moon rise.

If there were three words to describe me, it would be determined, diligent and empathetic. My colleagues would also say I'm detail-oriented. However, they all sound quite serious, therefore, I should add that I do love to have a good laugh and be a little silly when required in the name of fun!

Locum General Radiologists - Your Opportunity To Work In Darwin - New Dates

Prescript would love to speak to any general radiologists who are available to locum in the fantastic city of Darwin! 

This locum position is no longer usually available, therefore don’t miss your chance to do something a little different, and head up north to work in the Top End.

Over the past few years, there have been many radiologists returning regularly who enjoyed the many things to explore and do in Darwin. Why not try the sunset markets, incredible restaurants and cafes, and unique Top End experiences right there and easily accessible?

If you’d like to stay on for an extended NT experience, why not head to the Kakadu National Park or the Litchfield National Park, both less than 2 hour’s drive away?  Right now, it’s a beautiful time of year to explore the NT.

The Position

  • Radiologists can expect to be based in the public and/or private hospital, or occasionally in a suburban clinic.

  • Monday – Friday work with no on-call required. 

  • The role is well known for the interesting and unique casemix. 

  • Whilst General Radiology skills (including interventional) are essential, breast skills would also be greatly appreciated!

The Position

This is a highly regarded, progressive employer with a comprehensive range of services offered, including; general X-Ray, OPG, CT, MRI, ultrasound, bone density scanning, fluoroscopy, mammography, and interventional. Depending on the week you’re available and your skillset, you could be located at a clinic or hospital situated in Launceston, Devonport, Mersey or Burnie. 

And with the increased daily rate, you’ll have some extra pocket money to stay a little longer and explore all that Tasmania has to offer!
