The Position

The service offers a fully comprehensive range of medical imaging services, including general x-ray, ultrasound, OPG, CT, 3T MRI, echocardiographs, 3D mammography (tomosynthesis), bone mineral densitometry and a wide range of interventional procedures. The role will see you working predominantly in a hospital-based setting; however, you may also be required to work in a private clinic.

You can choose to stay in the city centre itself, or perhaps you’d prefer to start and finish your day on the coast, overlooking the beach which is only a 20-minute commute to work.

Tropical North Queensland with its palm-fringed beaches, relaxed vibe and balmy evenings has always been a popular destination requested for locums. We are delighted to advise that we have some Radiology locum weeks available again in the laid-back tropical city of Townsville.

The Position

This locum position has only just become available again, however previously was one of our most requested roles due to the clinics friendly & supportive team, and the well-paced caseload. And no one ever has ever complained about walking outside at the end of the day and feeling the warmth that far north Queensland provides.

• Services include - X-ray, OPG, CT, Ultrasound (incl. vascular, obstetric, and MSK), BMD, Echocardiography, MRI, and interventional.

• Monday to Friday only – no on-call or weekends.

Townsville is located on the north coast of Queensland. Radiologists - Locum On The Pristine South Coast Of NSW For $4k Per Day

The gorgeous south coast of NSW is a place of pristine beauty and tranquillity.  It’s also a place that a few Prescript team members know well.  Whilst Marcia Beere (Prescript’s Credentialing Team Manager) is lucky enough to live on the Sapphire Coast, I have family scattered around the region and love escaping to that part of the world to visit them.  

Prescript currently has locum weeks available on the south coast of NSW at an increased daily rate of $4000 per day, so please get in touch if this is a locum role you’d like to experience.

The Position

• The locum position is based in regional public hospitals in Bega or Moruya (depending on the week available). 

• Both of these locations are only a short flight from Sydney, or a 3 hour drive from Canberra. 

• You will be working with an experienced medical imaging team who are not only welcoming, but also very grateful for the contribution you can make to the community with your skillset.

• And because you are located well away from a metropolitan location, you will see a wide variety of cases with interesting pathologies. 

We’re keen to speak with general radiologists who can perform some Tier A procedures – if you have any other interests or subspecialties such as breast/mammo or MRI, this would be welcome too.

On your days off, you’ll have time to enjoy the unique towns and coastline around you. With white sand beaches, sapphire blue and emerald seas, beautiful national parks, and gorgeous little tourist towns, it’s an all-round fantastic place to locum and explore.

Locum Radiologists – Your Opportunity To Secure Some Rare Northern NSW Locum Blocks

Northern NSW has always been a ‘must visit’ location for many, however, for those seeking locums in the region, they are usually left disappointed. Locum positions there don’t come up often… until now. 

Prescript currently has a number of regular blocks of locum blocks from October 2022 through to June 2023.  And given the popularity of this location, they may be filled very quickly, so please get in touch now if you’d like to know more.  

The Position

This is a well-respected medical imaging company in the Tweed region, with a comprehensive range of services offered, including; general X-Ray, OPG, CT, MRI, ultrasound, bone density scanning, mammography, and interventional. The role would be suited to a General Radiologist with basic interventional skills. And whilst not essential, mammography skills would be well utilised.  

Depending on the week you’re available, you could be located at a clinic in either Tweed Heads, Murwillumbah, or Kingscliff – or potentially you could also work across all three clinics which are a 15–25-minute scenic drive between each. 

The Tweed Shire is well known for its welcoming communities where you will find a friendly, inclusive feel and a focus on the natural environment. The region encompasses all the things that northern NSW is famous for - gorgeous National Parks, spectacular scenic drives, delicious culinary experiences, eclectic community markets, stunning estuaries, and endless immaculate beaches. 

You’ll also have the Gold Coast 45 mins to the north and Byron Bay 45 minutes to the south giving you an endless list of adventures on your days off.

In early 2018, after craving a much more relaxed pace of life, I moved to Northern NSW with my partner. We spend many weekends exploring the endless hidden gems of the Northern Rivers region, eating out at the many different cafes & restaurants, and putting on our hiking shoes for a dose of nature.  Outside of that, you'll find me at Pilates, Boxing, hitting the beach, and catching up with friends. And when the sky allows, I absolutely love watching a full moon rise.

If there were three words to describe me, it would be determined, diligent and empathetic. My colleagues would also say I'm detail-oriented. However, they all sound quite serious, therefore, I should add that I do love to have a good laugh and be a little silly when required in the name of fun!

Radiologist Locum - Experience Regional VIC In Spring & Summer When It Comes Alive

Are you able to support regional Victoria for a locum week or two over the coming months? The slower pace of life and welcoming and friendly locals make for a great locum experience. 

Country Victoria in the spring and summertime comes alive, with the warm, dry weather and beautiful balmy nights to enjoy. $3,800 Per Day - Easily Managed Caseload - Locum Radiologist Role

Locum General Radiologists – Locum in the Top End - $3500 Per Day

Prescript would love to speak to any general radiologists who are keen to head up to the Top End to locum.

This is a locum position like no other, where you’ll not only experience a really interesting case mix through your work day, but you’ll get to enjoy all this unique & bustling tropical city has to offer.

The Position

⇒ Radiologists can expect to be based in the public and/or private hospital, or occasionally in a suburban clinic.

⇒ Monday – Friday work with no on-call required. 

⇒ The role is well known for its interesting and unique case mix. 

⇒ Whilst General Radiology skills (including interventional) are essential, breast skills would also be greatly appreciated!

While in Darwin:

Over the years, we’ve had many radiologists returning regularly who recommend the work and the many things to explore and do up there. Why not try the sunset markets, incredible restaurants and cafes, and unique Darwin experiences right there and easily accessible?

If you’d like to stay on for an extended NT experience, why not head to the Kakadu National Park or the Litchfield National Park, both less than 2 hours drive away?
