The Position

Are you interested in spending some time in the picturesque QLD town of Hervey Bay?  

Perhaps you would consider relocating to the area but want to trial a locum there first? Prescript is working closely with a well-regarded clinic that urgently require additional GPs to help with very high patient demand.

★ There is an immediate requirement for locum coverage over the next six months

★ Flexible session times Monday-Saturday

★ Working in a multidisciplinary team with 6 other GPs

★ 19AB restricted doctors can locum here for up to 6-months

★ GP trainees on any programme are encouraged to apply

There are also multiple permanent positions, including a permanent DPA position, for doctors interested in moving to Hervey Bay.

Hervey Bay is a relaxed town with a population of around 60,000. Stay by the coast and enjoy the beautiful views over the water, along with the excellent outdoor activities and café and restaurant culture that’s right on your doorstep. With over 40km of pristine beaches stretching out from it, Hervey Bay is the place to experience world-class fishing, boating, whale watching and water sports. This is also where you can take trips to the famous Fraser Island.

Locum Dates Available

➞ Up to 6-months locum coverage considered

➞ Preference for locums who can offer 2+ weeks of availability

➞ Clinic hours are 0800-1900 Mon-Wed, 0800-1700 Thu-Fri and 0800-1430 on Saturdays – chose sessions within these times, Saturday coverage is via a rotating roster

➞ Part-time arrangements considered

There are multiple locum and permanent positions available with an ASAP start.

Australian permanent resident or citizen, NZ citizen, or doctors holding a relevant work visa
