The Position

★ Two-week locum - Tuesday 4th January to Friday 14th January 2022
★ Mount Isa Hospital is nearly complete with a major redevelopment and added health services including better staff amenities.
★ This O&G inpatient services incorporate a neonatal and special care nursery
★ 500 Births per year
★ You will need to manage the labour ward and will need to be able to conduct unassisted caesareans.
★ Low and medium risk birthing at this hospital from 34+ weeks gestation
★ Population coverage area is approximately 18,000 and approximately 16% of the population identifies as Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Who We’re Looking For
✓ Specialist APHRA Registration
✓ FRANZCOG
✓ Aboriginal Medical Services experience desired
✓ You must either be an Australian citizen/permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen or another relevant work visa
