Locum O&G Registrar

Inpatient care:

You will be responsible for initial assessment and formulation of a management plan for patients presenting for care and well as the ongoing care of patients.

Outpatient:

You are expected to provide regular Women’s Health Care Outpatients Services including antenatal and gynaecology clinics, Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic (EPAC), Women’s Acute Care Clinic (WACC) and Day Assessment Unit (DAU).

Birthing unit and theatre:

You will manage the labour ward under supervision and will perform procedures as required, including; caesarean sections, assisted vaginal deliveries, manual removal of placenta and repair of perineal tears.

πŸ“… Dates: 08/07 to 02/08 but it may be extended until February 2020

 

Inpatient care:

You are expected to perform daily ward rounds of antenatal, postnatal and gynaecology patients.

Outpatients:

You will provide regular Women’s Health Care Outpatients Services including antenatal and gynaecology clinics, Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic (EPAC), Women’s Acute Care Clinic (WACC) and Day Assessment Unit (DAU).

Birthing unit and theatre:

You will work in the labour ward under supervision and will perform simple procedures as required, including repair of perineal tears.

Hours are 0800-1630 with overtime and on call. When on-call, you are required to work 1630-2000 and then be on call until the next morning. These are generally every 3rd or 4th day depending on the roster.

Weekends are ward round from 0800-1200 then on-call the rest of the day and overnight. These could be one day every weekend or every second weekend depending on the roster.


O&G SRMO 

πŸ“… 08/07 to 02/08 - May be extended until February 2020

Hours are 0800-1630 Monday to Friday.

 

The Benefits

O&G Registrar

βž• Rate is $130 per hour + Super

βž• On call - callbacks are paid by the hour or part thereof

βž• Please note - No travel or accommodation allowance

βž• Overnight room available dependant on callbacks and times of callbacks and distance locum lives from the hospital

 

O&G SRMo

βž• Rate is $90-110 per hour + Super depending on experience

βž• No travel or accommodation allowance

What We’re Looking For

O&G Registrar

βœ”οΈ AHPRA General Registration.

βœ”οΈ PGY4 or above

βœ”οΈ 12 months recognised training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

βœ”οΈ Have training in adult and neonatal basic life support and be able to assess patients in an emergency setting.

βœ”οΈ You are expected to perform surgical procedures dependant on your level of experience independently or under supervision.

O&G SRMO

βœ”οΈ AHPRA General Registration.

βœ”οΈ PGY3 or above

βœ”οΈ Experience working in obstetrics and gynaecology within Australia

βœ”οΈ Have training in adult basic life support and have or be working towards neonatal and basic life support, and be able to assess patients in an emergency setting.
